Deborah Jowitt, who wrote about dance for the Village Voice for over 40 years, is now blogging on ArtsJournal at Dance Beat (which was also the title of her first anthology)

Wonderful news. She is one critic I greatly respect, and I have missed her writing. :clapping:

I especially enjoyed the first post -- the one with the photo of her cat. It gives a little personal background about the arts writers at the Voice, and helps one understand something about those days in the 60s and early 70s when New York seemed to be the creative center of the world for many of us ... when you could enjoy dance, opera, theater, galleries, and world cuisine, and learn about them all, without having to spend a fortune. (Thank you, Rent Control and Rent Stabilization )
