the attached scan of one of the photos used to illustrate a 2 p. story in the Theater section of PIC magazine, from 1942, shows Balanchine with a dancer and another individual from THE LADY FROM ACROSS - a Broadway production.

That photo is from his chain-smoking days, before LeClerq's illness.
