Artistic Directors Richard Cammack and Emily Borthwick are proud to present Spring Rep 2011:

SLEEPING BEAUTY, Charles Perrault's enchanting fairy tale springs to life in this hour-long ballet set to Tchaikovsky's exhilarating score. Choreography by Katarina Wester after Marius Petipa, and staged by Emily Borthwick, highlights the talents of the company along with featured guest artists Edilsa Armendariz (http://www.companycballet.org/dancers/armendariz.html ) as Princess Aurora and David Fonnegra (http://www.diabloballet.org/about_david.html ) as Prince Florimund.

VIM is a celebration of the energy that we share with one another and the vitality of life that is constantly being circulated between us. Exploring different facets of this shared energy, the work revels in the connection each of us has with the world around us as well as with our deeper selves. With choreography by Robert Dekkers and an exhilarating score by Yann Tiersen,VIM is quirky, modern and fun, and is sure to leave audiences with a smile on their face.

BELIEVE, set to the mixings of DJ Junior Vasquez,is an edgy, contemporary ballet that showcases the dancers' strength and attack. The piece premiered at the Tanzsommer Festival in Austria in 2003 and will be restaged on the Contra Costa Ballet dancers by choreographer Robert Dekkers.

Thanks to a heads up from iwatchthecorps.
