the following scans show two engraving-style illustrations from an unknown English publication documenting a fire in Moscow's Bolshoi Theater.
wikipedia notes the following:
<< A fire in 1853 caused extensive damage; reconstruction was carried out by Alberto Cavos, son of Catterino Cavos, an opera composer.>>
(A. Cavos  was also the designer of Petersburg's Maryinsky Theater, opened in 1860.)
such devastation often makes for dramatic graphic work.
