if mem. serves this photocard of Nikolai Aleksandorvich Solyannikov was posted previously, but that was likely with regard to SWAN LAKE, perhaps, in this case, Lopukhov's '45 production of the ballet for the Kirov Ballet. (as so often happens the photo is undated and uncaptioned except for the minimal writing on the negative).

in any case, now it can serve as a HALLOWEEN 2010 card.

Unless I have misread what you have written, it is captioned at the bottom of the photocard as Lebedinoe Ozero(ie Swan Lake)listed before the name of Nikolai Aleksandrovich Solyannikov.

thanks, L. i guess i was unclear.

i noted and read the writing (dancer, ballet and theater names) which is what i described in my post as having been written on the negative, what i meant was that the photo had no other indentification, giving the photo's date, and/or the particular production in which N.A.S. appeared so costumed as Rotbart, etc.
