Arts Ballet Theater of Florida's "Petroushka"

Recommended Posts

Thanks for posting the videos, Cristian.

I love/hate the scene of Petrouchka alone in his room. It is so painful. Fokine was such a great choreographer. And I adore the score!

I hope you enjoy Sunday's performance.

Thanks, Carbro...It was a simplified rendition of Fokine's, but they did their best. I took my friend and my mother with me because I assured them that "being the first, this could be the last and only time you guys will be able to see Petroushka live..."

Thanks, crisitian, for the report and the links. The video is charming. I had never heard of this company and don't often get down to the Broward Center, so I looked up their website:

What did you think about the other two works on the program?

The season opens in October, with the classic Russian tale of Petrouchka, along with Artistic Director, Vladimir Issaev’s The Four Seasons, and a new work by renown guest choreographer, Yanis Pikieris

P.S. What is the Amaturo Theater (the Broward's smaller venue) like for ballet?
