A kind neighbor (who knows about my interest in ballet)  emailed me this linkto a clip of Swan Lake, performed  by the dancer/acrobats of the Great Chinese State Circus.

http://www.nzwide.com/swanlake.htm

We've had other threads on (a) balancing, (b) acrobatics in ballet, and even another video which shows a ballet dancer on point balancing on her partner's head.

But ALL OF THIS turns up in this brief video, and all is surprisingly well done.

(I would never have been able to imagine a woman being able to balance for so long, and even to do an unsupported pirouette in arabesque, while standing on point on her partner's shoulder.  :smilie_mondieu:)

Are we seeing the FUTURE here?  Or what?
