a somewhat cropped Legat caricature (the usual signature and identications are not seen here) of P. A. Pereyaslavstev would seem to show an officer of security? (the chief?) for Moscow's Bolshoi Theater around 1900.
the curling wisps of cigarette smoke entwined in the shape a heart are fanciful touch to the Legat brothes' way of seeing this functionary.
