this scan shows another of the caricatures by the brothers Legat.
the role for which M.M.F. is costumed is, to the best of my knowledge, that of Mercury from FLORA'S AWAKENING (Ivanov'S 1894 ballet).
the print is c. 1903, by which time M.M.F. had taken over this role of the messenger of the gods from Legat III - or Sergei, who performed Mercury in the ballet's first cast.
it's interesting to note that the role chosen by the Legats for Fokine is one closely associated w/ one of them.
