Boy, talk about Establishment with a capital "E" (Ailey, Morris, NYCB). During the late-1960s, detractors of the American Dancing Festival (when it was still in Connecticut) charged that the festival had grown rigid and unimaginative in its programming. But at least the ADF directors had had twenty years to get that point. CDF has only been around for a few years and it has already grown stuffy.
I think I'll be sitting out this year.
