JKO at ABT year-end performance

AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE

PRESENTS YEAR-END PERFORMANCE

AT THE GERALD W. LYNCH THEATER, JOHN JAY COLLEGE,

SUNDAY, APRIL 11 at 4:30 P.M. & 7 P.M.

The pre-professional division of the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School will showcase the talents of its students in their year-end performance on Sunday, April 11, 2009 at 4:30 P.M and 7 P.M at The Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College. The program will include excerpts from Frederic Franklin’s Coppélia and August Bournonville’s Napoli, as well as new choreography from JKO School Principal Franco De Vita, Jessica Lang and Kanji Segawa.

The pre-professional division of the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre, established in January 2004, is a classical ballet program currently training students aged 10-18 at the Company’s 890 Broadway rehearsal studios. Directed by Franco De Vita, the JKO School includes a curriculum of classical technique, pointe, pas de deux, character, modern technique and Pilates. Faculty includes members of ABT’s Artistic Staff, ABT alumni and prominent teachers.

Northern Trust is the Official Sponsor of the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre. This program is supported, in part, by funding from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.

Tickets for the performances are $30 and will be available at the door an hour prior to curtain.
