Roman Zavarov is featured in the February 2010 issue of Dance Magazine (with Carla Korbes on the cover).

Rosalie O'Connor quotes Ib Andersen on Zavarov:

Asked about what makes Zavarov stand out, Andersen doesn’t hesitate. “The remarkable thing about Roman is the honesty in his dancing. The audience connects to him instantly. That honesty shines through. Bodies can’t lie.”

His "Apollo" last season was one of the most remarkable things I've seen, and it was only his first run. What struck me was how his interpretation was true to Andersen's, but, at the same time, entirely his own. Honesty is the perfect description.

It's good to see him getting some widespread recognition. You're right Helene, his Apollo last year was fantastic!
