On consecutive days, WNYC's Leonard Lopate interviewed dancer/authors.

Twyla Tharp discusses her upbringing, her career, her new show to Sinatra (to open March 2010), and her new book, The Collaborative Habit: Life Lessons for Working Together.

Tharp interview.

The delightful Leslie Caron has written her memoir, Thank Heaven, about leaving Roland Petit's company, where she was already a star at 17, to head to Hollywood in the final days of the old studio system.

Caron interview.

Each interview runs about a half hour plus small change.

For a moment there, just looking at the subject line, I thought the two of them were working together somehow, and I was trying to imagine what that might be like!  Thanks for the heads=up on the interviews -- they are both engaging, articulate speakers and should make for good listening.
