A heads up for fans of Paloma Herrera and Irina Dvorovenko, as they will be making guest appearances with partners Gennadi Saveliev and Maxim Beloserkovsky, appearing in Festival Ballet Theatre's Nutcracker at the Irvine Barclay that opens on December 12th. This show has set box-office records for the past two years at the Barclay and actually has already sold out some of the shows.
I have to say this is a really nice production of the Nutcracker as Festival Ballet Theatre was the company that bought all the sets, etc. from Ballet Pacifica when it shut down. Ballet Pacifica had just recently aquired these from Ballet Internationale and they were designed by Simon Pastukh and Galina Solovyeva and they really are quite lovely...it makes for a lovely Nutcracker experience.
