It's such a disappointing development in publishing (especially since a friend of mine worked her way through grad school working as an indexer...)

I just read straight through The Sugarless Plum in one evening. In addition to documenting her heroic struggle with diabetes, Ms Karz gives a fascinating peek backstage at NYCB during her years there. I highly recommend it.

I too highly recommend this book! I was friends and roomies w/ Zippora ( we called her Zipp:))) at SAB.....long before SAB had dorms:)). She was a wonderful dancer and an even more wonderful person!
