This IS a surprise. I'll go out on a limb and state my own opinion that Cox has made himself the single most interesting dancer in the company.
MCB has always seemed remarkably secretive about personnel, and even casting, news. So we may just have to wait and see. (With an emphasis on "wait," if they follow their usual track record.)
I hope anyone with official news about this will rush to post it here. Thanks.

Jeremy Cox auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance season six.
He also made it to Vegas.

Thanks, Trandrew! Apparently Jeremy did not repeat Alex Wong's mistake of auditioning first and asking for a leave (if, indeed, that's what happened in Jeremy's case) later.

Cox and Wong have made several videos of themselves dancing side by side. They seem fascinated by all kinds of movement and the broader possibilities of "dance." A conventional ballet company may, in the end, be too constraining for both of them, at least as a full time deal.
