Why does Don Lopez want to kill Lucien? Is it because he and Serafina are against the French?Are they Spanish patriots?
Or is it merely that Lucien's affection for Paquita is insulting to them both?
If Serafina wanted to marry Lucien surely bumping him off was counterproductive?Maybe killing Paquita would be more sensible?
