Anderson, Dunning, Kisselgoff To Be Inauguarated into Dance Library of

JACK ANDERSON, JENNIFER DUNNING & ANNA KISSELGOFF

TO BE INAUGUARATED ON APRIL 30 INTO THE

DANCE LIBRARY OF ISRAEL HALL OF FAME

On Thursday, April 30, 2009, The International Committee for the Dance Library of Israel will inaugurate the former New York Times dance critics Jack Anderson, Jennifer Dunning and Anna Kisselgoff into its Hall of Fame. Together for over twenty years, they forged a high standard of dance review and criticism. Their exceptional service to the field will be noted at this event which begins at 5:30 p.m. at Scaletta’s Restaurant, NYC.

The evening commences with a reception, ceremony and followed with a buffet supper.

This is the fourteenth annual ICDLI Hall of Fame. Past inaugurates are: Anna Sokolow, Sophie Maslow, Pearl Lang, Pauline Koner, Merrill Brockway, David Howard, Selma Jeanne Cohen and Genevieve Oswald among others.

Anna Kisselgoff became chief Dance Critic of the New York Times in 1977. Prior to that she wrote dance reviews for the NY Times as International Editor. She also worked on the English desk of Agence-France Presse in Paris.

Jennifer Dunning joined the New York Times as dance critic in 1977. She has written books on Alvin Ailey, Geoffrey Holder, and the American Ballet Theatre.

Jack Anderson, dance critic and author, has contributed dance reviews and others articles to the New York Times since 1978. He also writes for Dancing Times. Mr. Anderson along with his partner George Dorris co-edit Dance Chronicle: Studies in Dance and related Arts.

The Dance Library of Israel was founded in 1975 by Anne Wilson Wangh and is located in Tel-Aviv. The International Committee organized in 1983 as a support system for The Library, is a not-for-profit organization which has offices in Tribeca.
