NYTB celebrates its 30th Anniversary season with the premiere of  Dance/Speak: The Life of Agnes de Mille, a dance-drama which tells the  story of choreographer Agnes de Mille's struggle for success in the  American theater.

Through the use of narration, dramatic interpretation and de Mille  dances, Dance/Speak reveals Miss de Mille's childhood influences, early  attempts as a solo artist, and her eventual success as a groundbreaking  theatrical innovator known throughout the world for her choreography  during the golden age of musical theater, along with her incalculable  contribution to ballet.

Dance/Speak includes dances from her Broadway musicals - Oklahoma!,  Carousel, Brigadoon, Bloomer Girl and One Touch of Venus as well as  selected portions of her ballets - Debut at the Opera, Three Virgins  and A Devil, Fall River Legend, and Rodeo.
