I have seen a televised film called Adam and Eva with Maximova. I presume this is The Creation of the World as Vasiliov and Kasatkina are credited. Does anyone know who danced the roles of Adam, the Creator, the Devil and the She Devil in this performance?

I can only suggest the cast in the video may have been that of the Moscow Classical Ballet that I saw at the Dominion Theatre in London in 1984 with Yekaterina Maximova as Eve, Stanislav Isaev as Adam, Valeri Trofimchuk the Devil and Andrei Kudelin as God. I was not aware that the full ballet had been recorded.

Curiously enough there is currently on youtube Maximova and Vasiliev in a pas de deux from the ballet which I presume was done as a concert number. I would suggest the date given is incorrect.

I know that Maximova performed the complete ballet, but I am not aware of Vasiliev ever performing the full length ballet. I do have 3 complete versions and one incomplete version. Since this seems to be the first time that anything from this ballet has ever been on YT, I will eventually put up one or more. I do have a Kirov and two Moscow Classical complete performances, but the incomplete one might be most interesting. I will probably start with one of the full ones. When I do not know.

I have just discovered a Japanese site that gives the date of the film of Maximova and Isaev as 1982. It gives the title as Adam and Eve but on the televised film it was Adam and Eva.

Leonid, would you by any chance remember who danced the she-devil role? The other names you have given are correct -- the announcer said them quickly in English and I didn't know how to spell them. Thank you once again!

Stanislav Isaev was definitely Adam and Maximova was Eve.

After more research I now believe that in this film the She Devil is Vera Timashova, the devil is Nikolai Tikhomirov and the Creator is a dancer called something like Voaoshin.

Well done to find rest of cast. I do not recognise last named dancer but Timashova and Tikhomirov were leading dancers with Moscow Classical Ballet appearing in UK in 1995. Timashova teaches in Canada and is a guest teacher in USA.
