L'espresso the Milanese newspaper on 05.11.08 announced that former artistic Director of the Kirov Ballet Makhar Vaziev is to replace Elizabett Terrabust as AD of La Scala Ballet from January 2009.

PS I did use Babel Fish to translate this article but found some of the translation too, too amusing
to be used on a serious website.

On the 16th January 2009 Makhar Vaziev took up the position of Director of Dance of the ballet company at Teatro alla Scala Milan. His wife Olga Chenchikova is expected to work with him.

I wonder if their 'protegee,' Alina Somova, will join them? In the brand-new (Jan '09 realease) DVD from Japan, Classical Variations, Vol 3, Somova is exclusively coached by Chenchikova, who also contributes a lengthy interview to the DVD, praising her charge to the hilt. I cannot imagine those two away from each other.
