Fokine ballets

2 posts in this topic

One ballet that I have always been curious about is Fokine's Pavilion d'Armide. The libretto sounds so mysterious, and the pictures show such lovely costumes. And of couse, on really bad nights, I sometimes hope

Petipa can be revived.

I'd like to see "Carnaval", if only from a historian's interest, plus a desire to hear the orchestrations of portions of the Schumann score which are not played these days.
