I just read an article in the Idaho Statesman about Seth and Sarah Orza's upcoming teaching stint at Ballet Idaho Academy [Edited per correction below] and performance at the Eagle Performing Arts Summer Solstice in Idaho.  I started this thread for notes about upcoming (non-PNB) dance activities and performances by PNB dancers, so that we can keep track of them.

Quote

Dancers Seth and Sarah Orza of Pacific Northwest Ballet will perform selections from George Balanchine's "Who Cares?"

Oregon Ballet Theatre's Kathi Martuza and Adrian Fry will perform the pas de deux from Yuri Possokhov's new production of "Raymonda," and a tango from Kent Stowell's "Through Eden's Gates."

The dancers will be teaching next week at the studio's summer intensive, so expect some of the student dancers to perform as well.

The Orzas have a special relationship with the studio. Seth's mother, Joy, a former dancer with Oakland Ballet, moved to Eagle a few years ago and became involved with the dance school.

Actually, Seth and Sarah Orza and Kathi Martuza and Adrian Fry are teaching and performing just for Eagle Performing Arts Center which is located 6 miles west of Boise, Idaho.

Well, it certainly beats mowing lawns or working as a lifeguard for a summer gig!

Rebecca Johnston is performing in Kansas City next weekend.  I'm happy to see her staying active in dance despite her retirement.  Good luck to her!  Here is the link:

Oh, will you be seeing this?  If so, please post after the show -- I'll miss her dancing.
