Community Event Offers Behind-the-Scenes Glimpse at Boston Ballet and Sneak Peek Performance!

WHAT: Harvard University offers a glimpse behind-the-scenes at one of the nation’s most acclaimed dance company when it partners with Boston Ballet for Dance Talks, a unique panel discussion for the public by Boston Ballet choreographers and artistic staff about the company and its creative processes. Dance Talks also offer audiences a sneak peek at ballets currently being rehearsed for upcoming performances.

The March Dance Talks event highlights ballets being presented during Boston Ballet’s Three Masterpieces program on stage May 15 -18 at Citi Performing Arts CenterSM Wang Theatre.

With Three Masterpieces, its final production of the current season, Boston Ballet celebrates the work of choreographers George Balanchine, Anthony Tudor and Twyla Tharp, each of whom have brought a distinctive vision of classical dance to the stage.

WHO: Find out what makes a masterpiece – and a master choreographer – as Company members present excerpts from the Three Masterpieces program. Panelists will include Boston Ballet Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen; Boston Ballet Center for Dance Education Associate Director and former New York City Ballet principal dancer Margaret Tracey and former American Ballet Theatre dancer Keith Roberts, who will stage Twyla Tharp’s work for Boston Ballet.
