2008-2009 Season Auditions

Ballet San Jose Quick Look:
Repertoire: Ballet
Number of Dancers: 44
Contract Dates: September 2008 -- May 2009
Performances per Season: 38 (plus possible tour dates)
Annual Budget: $6.8 Million USD

Audition Dates:
Sunday, February 10th at 1PM
Sunday, April 13th at 1PM
All audtions to be held at Ballet San Jose Studios, located at 40 North First Street, San Jose, CA 95113

Dancer applicants should attend one of these auditions OR send their audition materials (video/DVD, dance photos, head shots and CV/resume) to:

Audition Requirements:
Bring picture, resume and dance photo if available.  Women must wear light or skin color tights and bring pointe shoes.  Men wear light color tights and ballet shoes.  All dancers should bring caractere shoes.  Audition will include ballet class, pointe work and partnering. There will be a $20.00 Registration Fee required at the time of Audition.

Compensation Package:  
$795 per week, Health Insurance, Dental, Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, FICA/MC, Dance Class, Shoe Allowance and Worker's Compensation

Hi, SJBWebmaster.

While many dancers read BalletTalk, this notice is beyond the scope of our board, which is for audience members.  Our sister board, BalletTalk for Dancers (you can find the direct link on the far right side of the banner atop every page), has a special thread for audition notices.

If you register on that board, please use the same screen name so that readers of both boards will recognize you.  Alternatively, you can send the info to that board's moderators (link toward the right on the banner) for them to post.

Also, as a new member, you are probably unaware that we do not allow dual posts, so the announcement you posted under "Ballet News" has been removed.
