COMPANY/STAGE MANAGER
COMPLEXIONS CONTEMPORARY BALLET
Full-Time position
Salary: Commensurate with experience
The Company/Stage Manager will report to the Artistic Directors, Executive Director, and Technical Director, serving as the primary point of contact for all Artistic staff, dancers, booking agents, and performance venues, and managing the rehearsal, touring, and theater for the company.
Prior Company /Stage Manager experience, touring experience (domestic and international), strong computer skills, a technical background, and a current driver’s license are a must.
An unflappable personality with a sense of humor and the ability to manage multiple tasks with ease will be great assets.
Company/Stage Management responsibilities include:
Arrange transportation/hotels/per diems/visas for all artists and production staff for each tour
Communicate with booking agent(s) and presenters to prepare for tours.
Maintain company calendar
Assist the ADs and Ballet Master/Mistress in setting up all rehearsal schedules, communicate and post all schedules to staff and dancers while on tour
Maintain a cast contact list, bios, and photos of company members
Handle all dancer health and injury issues.
Coordinate costume designer/s and costume builder/s for all new works.
Work with the Technical Director to organize the load-in/load-out at each theater.
Oversee and manage costumes. Work with wardrobe person in each venue to make sure costumes are ready for each performance.
Call the performances.
Coordinate school shows and master classes, as needed.
Assist in hiring short-term assistant for larger productions and/or tours.
Prepare performance reports for the ED, ADs, and Ballet Master/Mistress
Work ED and ADs to coordinate and plan touring programs for the year
