Complexions is seeking an Executive Director to champion this vision and proactively develop and implement strategies to grow and sustain the organization.
The Executive Director will report to the Board of Directors and the Artistic Directors, work closely with Board Committees, and will guide and manage the Company on strategic, financial, and operational levels.
Responsibilities of the Executive Director include:
Support of and commitment to the vision of the Artistic Directors.
Develop and implement strategies for long-term growth and stability by building contributed income, earned income, and visibility (branding and marketing).
Manage all Board relations, in consultation with the Officers and Chairs of Committees.
Financial management of a $1 million budget; work with bookkeeper, Treasurer, and accountant to prepare budgets and financial reports.
Guide Company Manager and booking agent in structuring touring schedule.
Negotiate all contracts in consultation with the Board.
Supervise staff (includes Company Manager, Operations and Development Coordinator, Development Consultant, part-time Bookkeeper, and part-time interns)
Manage the Companyís promotional and marketing strategies
Oversee the Annual Gala and other special events
Bachelorís degree required.
Minimum of 5 years experience in management of non-profit performing arts organization
Significant and substantial experience in fundraising and development.
Financial management experience, with a focus on the non-profit sector.
Experience in developing and implementing Marketing/PR/Advertising strategies.
Experience in the organization and development of special events.
Familiarity with donor databases and ability to quickly learn new software and technologies.
Ability to motivate and interact with many diverse groups and people.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
