ViolinConcerto
Inside the new "Ballet Review" is a small, precious booklet, a reprint of "The Lavender Leotard," by the late, great Edward Gorey, made at the request of the late, even greater Lincoln Kirstein ( ). copyright 1970. The subtitle is :"Going a lot to the New York City Ballet." The drawings and captions are just delightful. The memories that it calls up are intense. I hope many of you will receive copies. Now, since I didn't start "Going a lot to the New York City Ballet" until 1978, there are a few drawings that I am unsure as to what ballet they refer to...... I hope that we can all talk about it, and maybe identify those! (But I did know "Central Park in the Dark!" Enjoy! Link to comment
