Dale
The programs for NYCB's 2008 visit to the Kennedy Center have been posted: Program 1 -- (Wed, 2/27; Thu, 2/28; Sat, 3/1 eve; Sun, 3/2 mat) --Serenade (Balanchine/Tchaikovsky) --Moves (Robbins/Unaccompanied) --Symphony in C (Balanchine/Bizet) Program 2 -- (Fri, 2/29; Sat, 3/1 mat; Sun, 3/2 eve) --Carousel (A Dance) (Wheeldon/Rodgers) --Zakouski (Martins/Rachmaninoff, Stravinsky, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky) --Agon (Balanchine/Stravinsky) --The Concert (or the Perils of Everybody) (Robbins/Chopin) http://www.kennedy-center.org/calendar/ind...amp;event=BIBSG It doesn't seem to be the most ambitious program. And for one billed to be a celebration of Jerome Robbins, there's only 2 of Robbins Ballets. The engagement comes right before the London tour and the ballets are the same as those being performed in England, but there's less of them. The London programs are below. It seems a shame NYCB couldn't perform Four Seasons in DC, as well. Programme 1 - Essential Balanchine Serenade Agon Symphony in C Programme 2 - Jerome Robbins: An American Icon The Four Seasons Moves The Concert Programme 3 - Four Voices: Wheeldon, Martins, Bigonzetti, Ratmansky Christopher Wheeldon: Carousel (A Dance) Peter Martins: Zakouski A ballet by Mauro Bigonzetti Alexei Ratmansky: Russian Seasons Programme 4 - Ballet and Broadway: A Musical Celebration Peter Martins: Thou Swell George Balanchine: Tarantella George Balanchine: Western Symphony Jerome Robbins: West Side Story Suite Link to comment
