Thanks, figurante.  I love the Tharp tribute angle, and I'm glad Miami is bringing 2 works they dance very well to Berkley.

Under the direction of dance legend Edward Villella, the company returns to Berkeley as part of Cal Performances' salute to the visionary genius of choreographer Twyla Tharp, performing two of her most popular works: Nine Sinatra Songs and In the Upper Room. The program also features Balanchine's masterpiece Agon (1957), among the great choreographer's most revered abstract ballets and one of the great dance works of the 20th century.
MCB danced Sinatra Songs at home in 2004, and Upper Room last year.  This touring program will come during a break in their run of Jewels in the three south Florida venues.  Berkley gets to see the Sarabias, Joseph Phillips (former SFB), Isanusi Garcia-Rodriguez, Zherlin Ndudi and all the other new dancers before we do in West Palm.

Looking forward to thoughts and comments from our California members.   :)
