SF Ballet website

Recommended Posts

I was grazing the SF Ballet website and logged into the pictures of the company artists. Either the website is screwed up or two of the dancers have been promoted. Rachel Viselli and Sarah Van Patten are listed as Principles, but there is nothing in the new & press section regarding this. Anybody know anything?

I'm both surprised and not surprised. Surprised it happened now, mid-season (Tomasson usually waits until later in the season to promote people), but not surprised that it happened to these two, who've been doing a lot of principal roles lately.

It will be interesting to see how they develop in their careers.

Congratulations to Sarah and Rachel!!!!

Also, if you subscribe to the podcasts (Artist Spotlight, Meet the Artist) there is a new Artist Spotlight. It is an interview with Nutnaree Pipit-Suksun. It is also posted on the website - here's the link:

Thank you! A wonderful podcast with Nutnaree Pipit-Suksun, the discovery of last summer's Lincoln Center engagement. Congrats and appreciation to the interviewer for pronouncing her name. Ommi says she's most looking forward to dancing the adagio movement of Mr. B's Symphony in C later this season. WOW!
