How ballet heroines and heroes meet their maker

According to a review of the Milwaukee Ballet's new Swan Lake, it's Odile who dies at the end of the ballet after being stabbed in the back by Rothbart.

Tag-team wrestlemania broke out in the finale, as Martin and Jouravel (Siegfried and Odette) battled with Luz San Miguel's Odile and Douglas McCubbin's Rothbart. By way of climax, Rothbart stabbed Odile in the back.

This is a new Swan Lake climax for me.

What are some of the other unusual ways (orthodox or not) you've seen ballet heroines and heroes meet their maker?
