Dance grades in danish to english?

Hi I wonder if someone could please help me, I wonder if some could tell me what

Karakterdansere , Solodansere, Korpsdansere and Aspiranter means in english?

No problem at all.

Karakterdansere means character dancers.

Solodansere means soloists,

Korpsdansere means corps de ballet,

Aspiranter means apprentices.

The karakterdansere category is a recent addition, from the early 90s if I'm remembering correctly, when the retirement age was drastically lowered (to 40) and dancers over 40 who remained with the company were so classified. Before this, every dancer in the company was a character dancer :) (as well as classical, of course)

Interesting that Character Dancers are often the most experienced of the company and the RDB grooms people to have such experiences at various points in their career (occasionally younger dancers or injured dancers find their way into character roles that are generally reserved for the veterans).
