Reviews: NYCB, Winter Week 6

The biggest single thing he can do now in terms of his expression, artistry and indeed technique, is to keep his upper body calmer and more relaxed, his shoulders more down and to the sides.   In Donizetti, . . . he got more and more tense as the difficult variations proceeded.

And, one might reasonably infer, he probably began to tire. If he's to relax the chest and shoulders -- and keep them relaxed, he has to get stronger. Maybe he should be visiting a gym?
He's not up to her chops right now, however.

Who at NYCB do you think is? My dearest ballet fantasy these days is a Bouder-Gomes match. He may be a little tall, but I think the chemistry would be volatile -- in a good way.
How else would she know about us Bouderites??
How, indeed? Such a sparse and meek group! :shhh: Barely even noticeable.
