drb
Good to read of Alexandra's continuing success, this time in the Robbins "Afternoon of a Faun", as well as her anticipated promotion to Principal. fandeballet
And I was hoping that she would have hooked up with ABT. The Royal has a "Jewel" alright!!!!!! Link to comment
Jane Simpson
The RB has announced various casting changes, and to no-one's amazement Ansanelli will now be dancing some performances of Polyphonia. She's also doing Ashton's Birthday Offering pas de deux in some performances of a mixed bill in June. Details at http://info.royaloperahouse.org/ballet/index.cfm?ccs=173 Link to comment
Haglund's
Judging from reviews and internet comments, it would appear that Miss Ansanelli is starting to make her mark at the Royal - most notably as Aurora. I noticed that she is also cast in Mayerling later on. I am so incredibly happy for this very unique and wonderfully talented artist! Link to comment
Maxi3D
Here is a recent article from New York Times about Ms. Ansanlli in the Royal Ballet. The comparison between Ms. Ansanlli and Ms. Kirkland in the article was interesting. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/12/17/arts/dan...rts&oref=slogin Edit: Sorry, didn't noticed that this link was already mentioned in another thread. paul
I especially went to see Alexandra Ansanellis Sleeping Beauty and was charmed. Such a beautiful classical line everywhere and all the time. A absolutely beautiful vision scene. I prefer her to any other Royal Ballet Pricipal in this role. Link to comment
