lulubird
Does anyone know anything more about choreographer Sarah Slipper? She received amazing reviews from all the Cincinnati press regarding her work A Fine Balance which was shown on Cincinnati's latest new works program. "The world premiere of A Fine Balance, suggests a story but doesn't get trapped by the telling of it. Its choreographer, Sarah Slipper, is truly gifted." The News Record goes on to say, "these two danced so well that I actually believed they meant the things their bodies said, all because their choreographer has found the point at which the form of dance (steps, technique, feet, performance) combine to create a work of art." The entire review can be found on the Links forum (11/3/05). Link to comment
carbro
According to her bio about halfway down -->this page, she is Artistic Director of the Northwest Professional Dance Project. Earlier, she was a principal dancer with Royal Winnipeg Ballet, trained at Royal Ballet School. It's always encouraging to hear about a "truly gifted" choreographer! Welcome to BalletTalk, lulubird.
