I'd like to purchase a video of La Bayadere. Makarova's production for the Royal Ballet starring Asylmuratova is available, but Mukhamedov's dancing I found less than inspiring. Can anyone recommend another Bayadere?

Thanks :-)

Paris Opera Ballet and Kirov Ballet both have commercial videos available. I can hunt down the details if you have difficulty locating them.

Hello Melissa,

There is an other production of La Bayadère with the Bolshoï Ballet (Gratcheva, Vetrov and Bylova). Choreography by Grigorovitch after Marius Petipa. This tape is available only in USA (Kultur) from a Russian document.
If you want to a production near the original one with a very nice Gamzatti, purchase the Kirov. If you want to a good Solor, purchase the Paris Opera. And if you want to a delightful Nikiya, purchase the Royal Ballet! Here are my advices!
