The handsome Bolshoi principal, Sergei Filin, seriously injured his foot upon landing a jump during Act I of last Thursday's (Dec. 9) performance of Swan Lake, at the Bolshoi Theater, Moscow. According to my friend, who saw the performance, Filin courageously remained on stage & marked the rest of his Act I role. The Act II curtain did not go up until a replacement, Ruslan Skvortsov, was located & warmed up.
It isn't known how long Filin will be out.
