What a subject!.I am reminded of the Judgement of Paris.Dosteyevsky said "Beauty will redeem the world" Thomas Aquinas said "Beauty is the spendour of order"It seems ever so slightly unworthy to compile a list out of so many many luminaries but since so many others have , a compelling precendent has been set.I rest my case!

Whomever dances the third shade variation on The Kirov in London tape with Chenchikova.  Wonder where she is now.

3rd shade is Olga Likhovskaya. I also wonder where she is now.

In case you are interested, there is a video of her online from 1986 dancing Le Papillon with Sergei Berezhnoi at a gala at Wolf Trap in Virginia.

I'll take the Bolshoi's Maria Alexandrova. It doesn't hurt her face strongly resembles American actress Sandra Bullock, too.

As this thread reaches almost ten pages, I wonder if it is time for a statistically minded poster to tot up the results and give us a top ten or twenty of just who the Ballet Talkers consider the most beautiful.  No I'm not volunteering as although I'm suggesting it I'm not actually very good at that kind of thing.

I imagine Moira shearer would come near the top as she is named pretty consistently (the lingering power of those Red Shoes!) though I'm surprised by the scarcity of nominations for Kirsten Simone, Ludmila Semenyaka and Inna Zubkovskaya.

Inna Zubkovskaya indeed had one of the most beautiful faces I've ever seen, and such greats as Plisetskaya and Makarova
mention her unique beauty in their books.And she was an outstanding dancer.

I doubt that would be a reliable count, though, because there are probably members who, once seeing their Most Beautiful's name/s already posted, refrain from naming them again.

Also, the number of pages will differ, according to how a member sets his/her preferences.  This is still page 4 for me.

Thanks for the post, its interesting to read peoples opinions

Im partial to the beauty of the Bolshoi ballarinas (expecialy since I have tickets to see them perform spartucus in february!!!)

My fave beautys are

Nina Kaptsova &
relative newcomer Ekaterina Shipulina.
Stuningly gorgeous

P.S. latest issue of Dance Magazine: Whitney Jenson    is very beautiful
