I am just about to start a DVD collection- on opera as well as ballet.

I must confess that, though I like opera, I am not such a huge fan as I am of ballet. Nevetheless, I would like to own some good opera titles available on DVD. I have run many searches, but I am quite at a loss.

Any ideas of good ones?

thanks so much

Zeffirelli's Traviata (Domingo, Stratas)

Zeffirelli's Boheme (Stratas, Carreras)

(funny I don't like his live productions but he sure can make a good movie)

Verdi's Otello (Domingo, Fleming, Levine conducting) or (Domingo, Te Kanawa, Solti conducting)
