silvy
I have seen the above as available for purchase. My question is how good is that performance, and if you would recommend that tape to me. Thanks a lot Silvy Link to comment
atm711
I have a copy of it. I bought it mainly for Malakhov, since there is not too much available of him on tape. Vassilieva is a particularly fragile Giselle, and it is a lovely touching performance. However, I would only buy it if you already have Makarova, Fracci and Ferri. Link to comment
atm711
Sorry about that last post, Silvy---I confused Vassilieva with Mezentseva of the Kirov, who is a very fragile Giselle. Vassilieva is more of the healthy peasant girl variety. Link to comment
silvy
Hi atm - never mind the confusion I agree with you that Mezentzeva is very fragile - rather too fragile for my liking. And what is Vassileva like in Giselle? Link to comment
