According to the National Ballet of Canada email newsletter I just received,

James Kudelka has announced promotions for the 2004/2005 Season:

Nehemiah Kish has been promoted to First Soloist.

Tanya Howard, Jean-Sébastien Colau and Avinoam Silverman have been promoted to Second Soloist.

Jordana Daumec, Louisa Rachedi and Aarik Wells have joined the corps de ballet from The National Ballet of Canada's Apprentice Programme.

And in other news,

Burnise Silvius will join The National Ballet of Canada as First Soloist. Ms. Silvius was a Principal Dancer with The South African Ballet Theatre.

The Patrons’ Council Committee and the Patrons’ Council Special Events Committee of The National Ballet of Canada awarded The Patron Award of Merit to corps de ballet members Andreea Olteanu and Joseph Welbes.
