I'd missed this one:

June 3-6: Ballet Arizona: 'George Balanchine's 100th Birthday Festival'

Ballet Arizona's festival will present six Balanchine ballets in two programs, each performed twice. Program A comprises Serenade (1935), Prodigal Son (1929) and Theme and Variations (1947). Program B consists of Allegro Brillante (1956), Apollo (1928) and Slaughter on 10th Avenue (1936, revised in 1968).

Ballet Arizona has performed several Balanchine ballets, including Divertimento No. 15 and Agon. Why these six?

"I chose these ballets for the variety of what they are, and also how the company looks in them," artistic director Ib Andersen says. "These are the best ballets suited for the company right now."
