Has anybody seen anything of the 1924 Richard Strauss/Heinrich Kröller "Schlagobers"?  It starred Tilly Losch, and had a Christmas theme.  Indeed, one of the principals is Prince Santa Claus!  It wasn't particularly a lasting work, and even sparked some animosity over the plentitude of goodies on the stage, and their scarity in the streets and shops.  Strauss' score didn't help much, as it wallows in post-WWI malaise, with astringency and wryness, rather than cheer.  Has anybody done a revival, or reconstruction, or a new version?
