Two of my friends are competing together so I hope to go and see them. I don't have much information yet about when exactly they will be dancing. I know that the dancers are already rehersing and very tired!!! They have long days!! When I find out more I will try and post for you. Are you going to be attending?

Good Luck to your son Denise! I also know one of the competing couples and know that they are rehearsing Flower Festival and La Bayadere at the moment. When I can get more details I will certainly post!

I plan to attend Round Three & the final gala. I look forward to seeing the WB dancers, among others.

Did anybody attend Round One (Kermesse in Bruges pdd)? One source told me that Jonathan Jordan of WB did very well. Round Two, with all competitors dancing a contemporary work, "Mazurkas," takes place tonight. I plan to catch tomorrow night's Round Three (Bayadere Shades pdd).
Has anybody from this forum been attending? If so, which dancers stood out during the two evenings of Round One? Any surprises...or disappointments? Thanks, in advance, for any news.

Caitlin and Eddy dance with Orlando Ballet. As I have said in previous posts, a company to be watching for.

Hi all!
I'm here and have been at everything - classes, rehearsals and all rounds.
I've just found this cyber cafe next to the theatre in which I'll be seeing NINE (mat) in a few minutes. Yes, it's my second time seeing NINE.
More about NYIBC when I get back to Chicago on Monday. But for now I will tell you that I am quite happy. A lot of talented dancers here and a wonderful all around feeling. I've loved learning Kermesse from watching so many run throughs and the Danes blow me away in it.
Round I & II pas were wonderful (Bayadere should be interesting as just about everyone has been having trouble with the scarf dance in rehearsals.) The solos were excellent last night - especially J. Jordan from DC.
I wish I could form a company out of this group!
Let's look for each other tonight Jeannie!
