I'm not sure exactly where to put this, but here it goes.  Do dancers answer fan mail?  I have wanted to write a letter to Alessandra Ferri, my favorite dancer, for a very long time.  Is there a chance she would answer?  Also, if I was to ask a dancer for a pair of old pointe shoes, would she give them to me?  I would love to have a pair!  Thanks

Some dancers do answer fan mail, to make it easier, you might want to enclose a self-addresses stamped envelope.  Write to them care of their company.
Most of the dancers give their pointe shoes to their company's gift shop for sale, so you might have a better shot at contacting the company's gift shop to get pointe shoes.
