  4. I personally know Michael Shannon through mutual friends that went through the Bolshoi Academy at the same time. He's a very down to earth individual. He's now director of the Royal School of Antwerp as mentioned and his latest protégée Katherine Higgins was invited to dance with the Bolshoi. I'm always quite sad that people forget about him when talking about "First American to graduate".

    Skorik

I've seen this in the programs at the Kennedy Center also. I saw Le Corsaire several years back and they had Novikova (She was only coryphee at the time) as a Principal and T. Tkachenko also as a principal. I think they look at who is dancing principal roles on that tour and then go from there.
  6. Wow! Congratulations to all! It seems there is something in the water in St. Petersburg...
  7. On Somova's facebook page, she is friends with a Marianna Agafinova. She graduated from Vaganova in 2003, danced at Maryiinsky until 2008, and has a sister with last name Pavlova. I'm assuming it's her? Anyway, this Marianna is a florist in St. Petersburg.
  8. Maybe this has already been discussed but Maya Dumchenko is now on the Coaches/Rep. list and gone from the roster of dancers on the website.
  9. I also hope the Bolshoi grabs her. Maybe Mikhailovsky. Skorik is now Second Soloist.
  10. Kristina Shapran is listen in the corps of the Stanislavsky Ballet in Moscow. http://www.stanmus.ru/people.html?grp=3
  11. According to the Mikhalovsky Roster, it looks like Sergei Strelkov has joined the company as a second soloist. Nothing about Shapran or even Somova.
  12. I also remember Veronika Ivanova, Irina Chistyakova in the prologue fairies as well as Larissa Lezhnina as the sapphire fairy.
  13. I also ordered it today and cannot wait for its arrival!
  14. YouTube user RussianBalletvideo has added clips of Somova as a student. I think he posted 2nd year, 3rd year, 4th year, and 7th year clips.
