  1. I see John Hall is there with her. They were a couple when with MCB and came over and danced in a local show in Naples. I wondered where they had gone.
  2. Last winter we used the Townhouse it is on 20th street, ocean side and close to the MCB studios not quite as close as the Abbey but almost. One of those boutique, minimal places but we liked it. Got a good rate on line too. We stayed at the Abbey too and were happy with it, but perfered the Townhouse. It is a little quieter at that northern end of South Beach but closer to the action than say the Fountainbleu. You are also close enough to where they perform to walk there also. Of course having a car there is a pain, most don't have parking but might offer valet. And the street is like 50 cents an hour or half hour 24 hours a day in many places. Of course I keep telling everyone come to Naples to see them, they have a "live" symphony and it is a beautiful theatre with no bad seats. You can find a link for the Naples Philharmonic on the MCB site I believe. They will do most of the same programs 2 nights each in January, Febuary and March. They do Nut at Thanksgiving and usually something in December but don't know this year. It is only 2 hours or less from Miami to Naples on the west coast just across Alligator Alley. Talk about quiet but beautiful and affordable and close enough to combine with a livier trip on the East coast. No I don't work for the tourist counsel or even in Naples but I go to see Miami there all the time.
  3. You need to live close enough to those venues to go to rehearsals a few times a week, and everyday the week after the audition if you get a role. I answered this on another site. Anyway my daughter did it in Naples for 6 years I know the roles well she did angel, party girl, party boy, polichinelle, soldier, hoop understudy tea. I know the heights well. If only 4'10 you can be a poly or soldier. If over that to 5'2 you can get hoop and chinese tea.
  4. It is a tattoo of a tear. Like the John Waters movie "Cry Baby" with Johnny Depp. Cracked my daughter and her friends up when they met him.
  5. I have seen the one Leigh is talking about. But it had been copied off of PBS. I don't know of it being released either.
  6. I watch Miami City Ballet in Naples Forida where they are also a resident company. I saw program I there last Wednesday. The Naples Philharmonic also has an orchestra that always plays for them. So live music here. And a beautiful and small place where there are no BAD seats. Come a couple of days early to Naples rkoretzky and they will be doing their third program on Tues. and Wednesday March 18 and 19th. The Gulf Coast is nice. I'll write more on what I thought of what I saw after I get back from taking to school duty.
