  1. I was wondering, is Irina Golub dancing? I enjoyed her dancing in a festival that the Kirov and my former employers performed in at the Kennedy Center, during the time that the main Opera house was being renovated, and they actually performed Kingdom of the Shades modified. She was one of the variations. She was beautiful, in a way that makes your heart sing with joy. I hope that she is still dancing, healthy, happy, and successful, in every possible way.
  2. I agree that Kara is an exquisite dancer, and had the pleasure of joining her in a gala performance. Kara Zimmerman is exquisite. Charlene Cohen, now with SFB. I loved dancing with her. Can say that she was wonderful to catch in Dances at a Gathering . Kenny Easter, with ABT. Great performances all around, one of my favorite Johnny's in Paul Taylors Company B. Alan Peiffer, with NYCB. He is rightly mentioned as one of the most handsome male dancers. Some dancers are worth their weight in gold. I believe these four are. Replying to corps dancers we love as if they were stars, these guys grind it out day in and day out. They are stars.
  3. Edward Villella Carlos Guerra Grant DeLong Zachary Hench Edward, because he was a very handsome man in his youth, and carried it into his mature years. Besides, he's a great guy. Carlos, because he has a ring on his finger and the two of them together are currently melting the polar ice cap. I know it's global warming, but you really have to see these two! Grant, his recent performance of the Pas from The Nutcracker was beautiful. His handsome looks were complimented by his ability to make his partner look like everything was effortless. He enabled her to go for anything knowing that he was there. He was beautiful to watch, and made his partner look even better. Zach, because he is one of our times most prolific dancers. He's been a principal with Boston Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, and now Pennsylvania Ballet. He can do anything, and he and his beautiful wife Julie Diana are exquisite jewels.
  4. My favorite ballet photographer is Steven Caras. I have had my luck in being involved in his photo shoots, and love his ability to capture our art form. His numerous books are also, to me, amazing. I love Rosalie O'Connor's work as well. And, Bob Mooney as well. I just love the photographers that have inhanced my performing career, and have given me a photographic history.
